What a wonderful presentation by Polina! Starting from a blank canvas Polina took us through her sources of inspiration for flower photography in her art background and how she then translates this into stunning home studio images. It was interesting that Polina says she endeavours to make portraits of flowers rather than botanical studies, using a similar lighting set up as would be used for portrait photography. Seeking to portray narrative through a series of images rather than produce single images, Polina nevertheless showed us stunning images every one of which I would class as one that could stand alone. From flower portraits to still life, Polina kept us entertained, informed and dazzled by her stunning images.
