Panel Competition

On Thursday 16th October the reflex photographic club held their second Print Panel Competition.

The entry of 12 Panels from 7 photographers was judged by Chris Shore FRPS, MPAGB, EFIAP BPE5* and Helen Taylor ARPS, DPAGB, BPE3*. The judges gave a very interesting and informative critique of all the panels; not just commenting on individual images within a panel but also providing thoughtful comments on the layout of the panels.

After some deliberation and tea the judges commended 2 panels and awarded a 1st, 2nd and third place.

The judges were particularly impressed with the print quality of John Brown’s entry “Water for the Canal”. The winning panel was singled out as they felt all 6 images worked very well as a panel and as individual images. This was the only panel the judges felt did not need “re-ordering”

All in all a very informative evening -we look forward to having Chris Shore back in April to judge the Carey Roberts Cup.
