    Coastal Britain Expedition Presentation by Ken Scott ARPS MBPsS

    Ken delivered a presentation about his 2017 expedition walking the coast of Britain, following principles inspired by John Merrill’s 1978 coast walk. The talk included audio-visual segments and covered his 5,600-mile journey, which took 240 days, with Ken carrying all necessary equipment and camping whenever possible. The presentation discussed his route, which followed the nearest right of way in England and Wales and navigable ground in Scotland, while maintaining the sea on his left and crossing rivers at their lowest bridging points.     KCPA DIAMOND JUBILEE COMPETITION 2026

    The KCPA Diamond Jubilee was held on Saturday 21st February 2026 at Ditton Update from Lorraine Grey Today was an enjoyable day seeing so many amazing photographs from 32 clubs. For us a bit disappointing result with being joint 24th but we shall work harder to get back to somewhere near last year where we were joint 9th Overall winner was Faversham a District who also took the most improved club this year.     Battle of the Prints 2026

    Battle Of The Prints 2026 was held on 10 February 2026 at West Malling Village Hall. The judge was Helen Shore ARPS DPAGB BPE4. It was a great evening, with stunning images. Reflex came 6th overall due to the winner of the battle (Sevenoaks) having entered an image they used last year and being disqualified. Well done to those whoโ€™s images entered ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Just to confirm there were only 5 points between us and 1st place . Please see the PDF below for the scoresheet and final result table

    Attendance Fee Increase

    The school is putting up our room fees by almost double in April. Unfortunately this means we need to increase the door fees, as from April the door fee will be ยฃ4. This means the club is still running at a loss, it’s because member numbers are low, we basically need a few more members.ย  Just to add this, its your club and you need to participate, if no one bothers, if you don’t turn up to a meeting, just because you are not particularly interested in whats on for that evening, that affects club funds.  The club will only last another year, as funds are already running low.     KCPA Ross Cup 2025

    On Saturday 25th October 2025 the KCPA Ross Cup was held at Ditton Community Centre. There were 26 clubs competing and we came 15th. Last year we were 9th so a bit of a drop. Graham Niblock’s image (Frigate Bird) was the one picked to talk about and the judge liked it very much. We need to up our game so letโ€™s get more prints in our print competitions to give us more to choose from. Overall there were some amazing images from other clubs which always a pleasure to see .
